'Heaven and earth, the Celtic saying goes, are only three feet apart, but in thin places that distance is even shorter. They are places that make us feel something larger than ourselves, as though we are held in a place between worlds, beyond experience.'

~ Kerri Ní Dochartaigh

BEing in a valley is to enjoy a private sky, all around, life is framed by the horizon. The horizon shelters life, yet constantly calls the eye to new frontiers and possibilities. The mystery of this landscape is further intensified by the presence of the sea. For millions of years, an ancient conversion has continued between the chorus of the sea and the silence of the stone.

As I look around I see the faces, no two stone shapes are the same.

As the sun sets it casts a brilliant light on the face of the granite. Some would say it is the sunset that is spectacular, I say it is what the sunset shines on. It brings out the shy presence of all that is and has been.

The stones, ever patient, ever still, continue to praise the silence of time.
